My daughter just got 2 puppies that are collie and shepherd or collie and some kind of spaniel and they are most likely going to be pretty good sized. They are just now 14 weeks old and already come up to my knees!

With our smaller dogs we don't have to be so concerned with the cost of good dog food but with big dogs you do.

Can any of you recommend a good 'and' affordable dog food that won't break the bank? She is a single, working Mom and she wants to do the right things for them so any help in this area would really be appreciated.

She will be shopping at the same pet supply store I go to that is 35 miles away so picking up a quality food isn't an issue but I don't have any idea what food would be good and affordable for larger dogs.
