Your Fathers Mass sounds wonderful!!! You are blessed to have memories of him, the Mass will just add to the good memories.
I also am Catholic and after a few years of looking for a the right church in Georgia I found a small parish that is just minutes from my house. I truly believe that when you find the right church that fits your style of worship it helps. It sounds like your Parents Winter church was that kind of place.
