Well I got on the web and found everything. I know who the owner of the land is, the exact longitude and latitude, the company information (as I found the permit), they are drilling down 6000 ft, and that they are looking for gas. I also found the state ordinance that says the noise level has to be below 45 decibels during the night. I also researched that this "fracking" is causing earthquakes in my area. So I guess I better get earthquake insurance. I spent hours on this. I also found the number of my County Seat rep who will be hearing from me as well. And I may have a word or two for the person allowing all this. He no longer owns the land. He sold the land but kept the mineral rights. So this isn't bothering him. He is just going to the bank. I guess I wouldn't mind so much if it wasnt an area with close houses. If we each owned hundreds of acres it wouldn't be so bad. But this thing is pretty close to numerous houses! Anyway, I will be making calls tomorrow and at least complaining. We will see how that goes!
