Over here, the 'talking about stuff' goes on for years - once they think there's oil, they have to okay everything with all the residents, then there are loads more talks until approval is reached (or not!)

I'm pretty sure they are drilling. It's a big thing with lights all over it. None of the residents notified except the land owner to my knowledge. My mom is closer to it than me. She said she didn't sleep at all last night because of the noise!
