Onion and garlic and things with them are bad. Chocolate is very bad. The best thing for Honey is to be kept away from the table.
This is the safest thing to do, as Nancy mentioned Thanksgiving & Christmas are serious Pancreatitis threats for our pups. My family knows NO ONE feeds my pups but me or DH & when we sit down to eat, the pups get locked up till the meal is done. After the family is finished & the table is cleared THEN they are let out & DH or myself give them a very small amount of white meat ONLY , skin removed and a couple of frozen green beans & they are satisfied that their turkey day is complete.
Also I remember the very first yr that I was a tech, the day after Thanks giving an elderly man came running in the door crying his eyes out & holding his little peach colored poodle who was not breathing. He & his wife had company that day & were making turkey sandwiches & he gave his poodle a piece of turkey, well it was just big enough to lodge in her throat & it did, by the time he rushed her to the vet she was gone. I can remember like it was yesterday, the poor old guys face looking down at his poodle that had died in his arms because he loved her & shared his turkey with her just as he had done many yrs before. I can say that was the saddest thing I had ever seen & it breaks my heart all over again every time I think about it. People don't realize that if your pup is not used to getting turkey or any other kind of human food & they have been smelling it cook all day & they REALLY want some of it, they have a tendency to gobble it up without chewing it causing a serious chocking risk. PLEASE people if you give your pup treats like human foods they are not used to having, be sure to cut it up tiny enough not to choke on.
