Hi! I also have a cotton coated yorkie/poodle mix so I feel your pain-haha.

The shampoo I like best is Minksheen. You do have to order it on-line, but I love the conditioning qualities that is has in it (the conditioner is in the shampoo).

I think we also go through certain stages where we just want something "New"! I'm going through that now and am thinking of trying the Yorkie Splash and Shine for my other dog (biewer) who has straighter hair (although it's a puppy coat).
