I dropped off Liberty early that morning and was able to pick him up at end of the day as all his vital signs were great. I was very nervous that evening. Liberty was very sleepy but did not act as if he were in any pain. The hardest part is the following day - keeping him quiet so he heals well. Wise prople on this site have suggested that it is good idea to get teeth pulled at same time so you dont have to risk anesthesia again. I had softened his food so it didn't hurt him to eat. If your baby avoids food while recovering, offer him Supplical, Karo syrup, etc., to keep sugar levels normal. Please keep us posted on your baby's progress through this. They say you can call as many times as you want to track his post-op recovery. I think it will be harder on you than your little baby. This vet is good. Once, I had a minor concern on a day they were closed but he happened to pick up the phone and he agreed to see Liberty that day anyway! That's what I call dedication!
