I am surprised that your vet did not do xrays with a pup that has continued blood in his urine.
I know you say you like your vet, but honestly, if it were me, at this point I would probably be looking at a second opinion....OR simply asking for a referral to a board certified internist.
As for food, there are prescription foods for pups with urinary issues. Might want to discuss this with the vet.
