 Wendell at the library
Wendell has become a great therapy dog. We usually take him to nursing homes. We don't have any children ourselves, but his previous owner said that he was good with kids. So we tried out a new program at the library where kids build their reading confidence by reading to dogs. One little girl wanted to hold him in her lap while she read to him. I wasn't sure how he'd react, but he cuddled right up with her. When she finished the book, he patiently waited for her to go put it back and get a new one. When she came back, he was wagging his little tail and couldn't wait for her to read to him again. Here he is "kissing" her hand as she was reading and her little sister looking on. |
