Carmen, I am so sorry you had to go through this. You were so good to stop and stay with the dog until he passed. I went through the same thing last year with a small poodle that was running in a busy street. Everyone stopped their cars, but one van barreled through and hit the dog before speeding off. I held the dog until he died.
I know that gut-wrenching sadness and the sounds. Wishing you peace and comfort.
