Gracie came from a littler of 2. The breeder did not give me an exact statement of how big she would be but thought it should be in the 7 to 8lb range. She was quite a bit smaller than her sister. She barely made it to 5lbs and it took well over a year for her to reach that weight. She was a poor eater as puppy and my vet was concerned about possible liver shunt though it had not been found in the breeders line as yet.

She is now a very healthy little girl but she had me quite worried throughout her first year of life. She has never been sick, just a really picky eater. It seemed as though she would not make it through her first year as she was such a tiny dare devil, always trying to climb things and then wanting to jump. Her small size did bother me at first but I have gotten used to it by now. When I take her to the groomers people comment on how small she is while I don't think of her that way anymore. I'm just glad she doesn't climb anymore!

Many of the people who are here on YT got their dogs from people who were not line breeding but were merely putting one small dog with another hoping to achieve more smaller sized dogs. This type of breeding does not produce any type of consistency in the puppies and actually causes more irregularities than anything else.
