I second the neutering. Get it done all at once and he'll be fine. 
For Zeus, he gets groomed once every 6-8 weeks, depending on the weather. 8 weeks in the winter and 6 in the summer.

When you first started taking him to the groomer did you ask if you could watch? I would really like to be able to see exactly what they are doing to him but, most places just have like a front desk then they take them into the back.
