I might not be as concerned about a tiny mouse as I would a burly rat but a skin puncture is still a puncture and can instill germs into his system. I don't even know what the vet would do if there were a bite but I'd think they'd give antibiotics prophylactically. "Course your vet will be able to tell you if you or he needs to do anything.
