We REALLY want another puppy, but we are being responsible and making sure we are 100% ready for it so it'll probably take us another 5 months or so...
how did you transition into giving him free run of the house? did you do it little by little, or one day you just let him loose? maybe I'll try to make his play area bigger...
Does Harry bark at the passer-bys or the squirrels? |

Well done for putting off puppy number 2 until you can manage it!
We made the transition quite gradually. He's a bit of a Harry Houdini, and actually learnt how to open his crate
So then we thought - well, the kitchen's pretty dog-proof, let's give that a try! It worked pretty well for a month or so - then he must have caught a lucky leap on the handle and managed to open the kitchen door!

He met me at the front door....I couldn't believe my eyes
I don't know how long he'd been out and about, but there was no damage and no mess, so I thought "ok, let's just try him in the whole house". So from then on, I just shut the bedroom doors, and let him get on with it! I must stress, everything dangerous is either hidden or put away - and Harry was quite a bit older than your Littlie is now.
As for passers-by - he barks at the one's he doesn't like the look of

- and he cries to get to the squirrels, but nothing too mental (I've checked with our neighbours, and they WOULD tell me!!!). I truly wish you luck
