I used to leave the tv for Buddy whenever I had to leave for work. Blazer hasn't been left alone much at all yet but I notice at night that he'll watch tv every once in a while so I may have to leave one on for him when I leave him for a time. I don't trust him out alone yet (still potty accidents from time to time and still chewing on things he shouldn't every once in a while.)
