I found the following link...there are others but this one was the first I read. Makes me even madder. This should have been repaired when it happened. That is the one concern they have right now...they are hoping that they can actually do the splint. They need to see all of the ribs and see where they can attach the floating ones. She said that they will secure them to other ribs...and to the splint so that scarring can begin to form and keep them in place. I shudder to think how painful this was for him...and for Heaven only knows how long.
