Unlove Close friends lost their fur baby today

Please keep this family in your prayers today.

Last week I went on vacation and a family who I am friends with took my boys for the week. We got back late Sunday night and went to pick up my boys at their house yesterday. They have 3 dogs, 2 larger Goldens and a Lhaso Apso, Shaggy, who is 10 years old, given to them about 2 years ago. When we got to their house yesterday Shaggy was at the vets because they said he was just not acting right. He was peeing in the house suddenly, walking really funny, staggering, falling over, etc.... he was lethargic and not eating. So the vet did blood work and other various tests and found nothing abnormal. He gave Shaggy some pain meds and sent him home with them. Shaggy got worse overnight, peeing all the time, even though he was not eating or drinking anymore at all. Could not stand, walk, nothing. Back to the vet this morning, he went completely blind overnight. He was in severe pain. The vet said it was a brain tumor, he could have seen a neurologist, but it would have been more tests and the poor dog was in severe serious pain, blind and incontinent at this point. They opted to put him down this morning. He went from normal sunday afternoon to having to be put down by tuesday morning. My friends are devastated. It happened so fast! My heart is just breaking for them.

Yesterday while we were at their house, they took turns holding Shaggy and cuddling him, keeping him on their chests, near their hearts, loving him, talking to him and just trying to comfort him. It was so sweet to see the love they had for him in such a short time they've had him. Shaggy died with his loved ones holding him and loving him.

RIP sweet boy... you will be missed! Go find my Stuart at the bridge, he's been there 7 long years now, he'll show you the ropes! Sweet boy!
