Many vets have weekend or emergency hours. If you know someone who has a small dog check where they go. You want a vet that has experience working with small dogs and especially Yorkies. Yorkies come with their own set of problems. There are several genetic problems that are prevalent in the Yorkie and a vet that has worked with the breed should be familiar with them and know what symptoms to look for and alert you.
Personally, I would stay away from any type of "chain" vet service. Also pet stores are not the best at providing quality pet care or products. |
