I am so very sorry. My husband has been out of work for almost 3 years. He is legally blind since birth and is on disability, thank goodness. I had to retire almost a year before my 65th BD but am finally on disability. We went through all our savings so I am now w/o health insurance till the first of the year.
It is very very difficult. You can get COBRA but it is extremely expensive. There are going to be a LOT more layoffs because of Obama winning the election and things are going to get worse before they get better. Don't get me going on this one or I will be banned from YT

I will be praying for you and your family. George and I have found that God is always there just on time for us but still, it is a hard thing to deal with from day to day.
