I took your advice and I went to meet up.com, but could only find one meet up group for yorkshire terriers. It was extremely large (100+ members) and you had to pay to have a membership with them. Which, it wasn't a large amount of money and the money wasn't the issue ... but the group was just so large!
I decided that it would be nice to start one closer to home that didn't have quiet so many members (Of course anyone is welcome to join), but I think a smaller play group where you could more easily keep track of your own dog during a play group and everything would be a lot easier to maintain! Also, I think it would be nice if it was completely welcome to everyone including the brothers and sisters of our Yorkshire terriers (other breed dogs). This Yorkshire terrier group specifically requested that only Yorkies come, but I thought to myself .... most people have other breeds of dogs too! I mean yes, the purpose of starting a Yorkshire terrier group is to meet other Yorkie owners and let our babies play together, but not every Yorkshire terrier owner only owns Yorkies.
So I decided to take you advice and start a new play group for the breed and start advertising in local areas.
I was hoping to find some people on here, but it looks like I'll have to do a little of my own searching =) which is fine with me.
Thanks For the Advice!
