Obviously in your heart you want to add him to your family, go for it...
Lord works in mysterious ways and for xyz reason he is ended up with you again -I would take it as a sign and follow your heart.
Maybe your little wild child can use another campanion that will entertain her.. I know thay my baby yorkie is our wild child and my maltese is Miss Mellow all the way so my baby yorkie is bored at times
