Best to say it is lifetime...and that IF you want, you can purchase their yearly plan of extra services.
In other words: IGNORE their emails telling you that it is ending. It's a shame they do that...it's all about making money and I get that, but they mislead people.
I called them (Home Again) today because I got that message when I logged into my account! She said it is extra and that my dog is in their system in case he gets lost. She said we do not have to get the $17.99 extra package.
It is SO MISLEADING!!!! He was registered when paid for initial chipping but their site said I needed to renew our registration!

Mickey had Avid and they charged me $6 to update a phone number change. But I wanted all the info to be current. $6 for any info changes! Grrr
