Butterball and some other do inject a solution, but this adds flavoring under the skin and also fat, it's not the same as brining. The meat actually holds more water when you brine it. I believe that Kosher turkey are always brined, this is the way they get rid of impurities, so you wouldn't want to brine a Kosher turkey, but I think you might be wasting the injected solution if you brine it. Everyone should try it at least once, no more dry turkey!
