Yorkies are supposed to have upright ears but some have weak ear flaps that don't ever stand. When they are puppies it is best to have the fur on top of the ears trimmed short so the weight of the fur does not hold the ear down. Some people prefer the ears down. I thought I would prefer ears down until her's went up. It is just so funny when she uses those hears to express herself.
