I have learned a lot from this forum and one of them is that dogs can develop food allergies. If you take him to the vet and they don't find anything, try changing his food. There are some good threads on here where people talk about itching and food allergies and the types of food ingredients that are better for dogs with sensitive skin. Just a thought.
