I definitely don't think it's rude or crazy to ask for an un-docked tail, I just think you would have to ask the breeder before the puppies are born so they aren't docked before you get to them
I have a yorkie with a docked tail and another whose was not docked. I personally prefer the un-docked look... She uses her tail to express herself and it's so cute!
