I then tell him what truant means and he looks at me and says "Miss, your not hearing me" really?

Ugggghhhh, this is a newer statement they use instead of saying "I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say" etc., if I had a nickel for every time a student says "Your not hearing me" I'd be rich! I'm so glad it is Friday!
