My yorkie gave birth to two babies and I had to cut the cord for both. after birth we waited for placenta to be expelled but she never did. I took her to the vet about a day and half later and he gave her a shot of oxytocin, but it didnt do anything? What should I do? she doesnt seem to be in distress or running a fever, but very worried... Her babies were born late Sunday night/Monday Morning so we are going on day four today... Does anyone know how long it might take for an infection to set in, if she is going to get one???
