Yes it can be done. The new owner would be the first contact and you would be the additional contact. Just make sure who ever fills out the paper work, sends it in that way.

My Willow and Allie I adopted from a Rescue Group and they are registered in my name and the Rescue Group name.

My Luci I took in as a Rehome and I had her microchipped I am the first contact and my SIL is the 2nd contact and they also all have my Vet info as well.
