I'm glad that you took them in. Have you thought about trying to find them a new home? I have fostered and been able to find homes for several strays. It's hard when they don't get along with your resident dogs
I would recommend posting an ad for them at your vet, in the paper, Craigslist etc. It's just important that you screen potential new homes and do a vet check to make sure they are good people. Maybe you could get that chi rescue to take them in.
