I recommend you visit Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble

You can read reviews of most all dogs food that are available on the market today. Personally I recommend those brands that are not more than 28% protein and are corn free. I have fed mine Chicken Soup For the Puppy Lover's Soul for years and I am very happy with the results. Canidae and Natural Balance are also another good choices. One of the biggest issues I had when using dry foods with corn is that the dogs had a lot more stool and the stool was much more stinky.

As for canned food, the only canned food I use is Pedigree. Mine especially love the Pedigree Healthy Digestion and the Chopped Chicken. I mix a little of the canned food with their dry food.

I try to stay away from store bought treats and I prefer to give healthy natural treats like raw steamed green beans, cooked sweet potato, steamed squash or steamed broccoli or raw carrots. Mine just get a couple little bits at a time. For chews I prefer the C.E.T. Dental chews that I buy at Revival.
