Anyway, since Friday night when we got him, we have been crazy about getting him outside every hour or so and to our surprise he seems to be learning very fast. He has not once gone in the house! I know it's only 2 full days and we've been with him almost every minute of that time. Has anyone else experienced this type of thing? Is he just trying to be good to his new owners? He gets rewarded with a little treat every time he goes outside and he already seems to know it when he comes inside. Is it possible that we're going to get lucky with a smart little pup or am I speaking way too soon?
Also, he doesnt whine at night and slept through the first 3 nights without waking us once and we slept 6-7 hours all 3 nights, the minute we took him out of his crate and took him outside he was ready to pee. |
Hi, I got my Gizmo this Friday too, and he's been doing great going outside. I know it can't always be this easy, and I'm expecting trouble when it gets much colder.

He had an accident the first day because I didn't take his sniffing seriously. lol I think the biggie will be when he can start telling me when he has to go, and I don't have to stare at him like crazy waiting for the cues.
