But this is how it happened to DH.... he had the back hatch open and he had the passenger door open because he was loading all of our stuff. He thought he would hit the command start button to warm up the car. So he hit command start on the fob and the doors locked, and then it said it couldn't start because a door was open. So he thought whatever, and reached over and just put the key in and started it. Then he got out and closed the doors and came inside to get me and the dogs. He forgot that all of the doors had just locked when he tried to command start! |
Oh my! I'm now paranoid as the kids are now grown...never anyone home but the dogs...thankfully I can't lock the doors with the key in the ignition!
I can see how this happened, though...my sweetie was backing my car into the garage just recently and his car was in the driveway...np hun, I'll move your car...I forgot that the keys have to be with the car or it wont start...(push button start)..stupid thing of course wouldn't start! But it did lock back as soon as I got out of the car...automatic lock!
Well thankfully it all worked out in the wash...glad you were all safe...
