Hello and Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I feed my fur kids Diamond Lamb and Rice formula and at night they get a little Nutro Ultra canned mixed in with the dry. They free feed on dry through out the day.
Regarding the itching it could be a number of things. Allergies, type of diet, shampoo not being rinsed well enough, flea allergies, etc. I would visit your vet for the best diagnosis to her itching/biting.
