I do not agree with that last sentence....I think you have a right to be upset and confused...he based his diagnosis and his recommendation on SOMETHING he was seeing....or something he THOUGHT he was seeing....THAT is what you want to know! "Doc, with no other testing, no xrays or labs done, exactly what did you see that had you convenced she was terminal and needed to be put down? I feel like I need to also see what you saw, so if it happensa again, I will know how to proceed." (This way, he does not think you are complaining or challenging him....you are "on his side" and want to know what he was seeing so you will see it too if it ever happens again.....he will be more apt to share with you....
