I too have just seen this thread. You have entered on the path we all must travel with our pets.

I used to think, before I lost my first pet, that when folks very kindly said to me, "you will know it is time"; it was a well meaning but not a factual statement. But then I had to make a decision to put my first dog down.

It was very very true. This beloved dog is in your heart, and she in yours. Trust in that connection, that will lead you to the right decision, in the right time.
