We took our new little baby Rocky to the vet yesterday for a routine puupy check up and becasue he had been scratching his ears. The vet diagnosed him with ear mites
Prescribed ear drops and they seem to be working but today I noticed more of these light brown specks on the top of his head and a little down the back of his head. He had been scratching a lot and had scratched one off and it bled, which I told the vet. He acted like it was no big deal, and din't say much, but today I noticed a few more. I called the vet and they prescribed an antihistamine but I said it wasn't bumps it's almost like dandruff that I can pick off with my hand, it doesn't seem to hurt him. However, they can't see him until Monday. Have any of you dealt with any issues like this or have any of your babies had ear mites? I was researching online and they said sometimes they can travel but they don't live long outside the ears.
