I also have a wire crate with a divider, and I'm trying to figure out which will be the best route to take. I am open to dog litterboxes (for aim), although I would probably use them with potty pads instead of litter.

Would you mind posting a picture of your crate/potty setup?

Thanks in advance!

Hi All,

I just got my two boys last week (8 weeks old) and they can't hold it for very long. I'm using a crate with a divider to keep their sleeping and potty area separate. Each one has their own crate and potty area. The idea is to keep them in the crate whenever we can't supervise them and overnight so they naturally learn to use the pee pad. After a few weeks, I should be able to let them roam in a pen area and have them go back into the crate on their own to potty. We'll see how that works. When I have them outside, they seem to naturally head to the grass area to potty. A few accidents on the patio, but given their young age I think they're doing pretty well. If this crate potty works well, I may just make it permanent.
