We put in the laminate wood flooring in our kitchen, hallways and living area. We really love it....and have not had any problems with scratching. As mentioned above....do not let water sit or it can cause problems. (We have one small area that needs to be redone because of that.)
The one thing we found is that the pups have to adjust to walking on the laminate...they seem to slide more. And my son's beagle really struggles at times with slipping around when trying to play.
