Hello! Welcome to Yorkie Talk!
Like you I joined this forum when I got my first Yorkie - Teddy - back in July this year!
It's a great site for information and support and when Teddy was going through his whole screaming in the crate at night and day and general difficult puppy behaviour I got a lot of kind advice from other YT users.
Teddy is now nearly 6 months old and has a lot of energy, he's nearly completely housetrained and is being castrated on the 30th November. Being my first ever time I've owne a dog and had to do all the training and routine work from scratch it has been hardwork but I can assure you I'm now starting to reap the rewards.
What is troubling you with your pup?
I guess my advice is to be consistent and patient! Although I don't have any children yet having Teddy has made me feel as though I have got a baby. It's quite a shock to the system when you're trying to housetrain, getting up at 5am and working full time. BUT it is worth it...you'll get there. My little Teds is loyal to me already and I only have to look at his face and I melt!
Keep perservering, Yorkies are fab little dogs with bundles of character. But don't feel like a let-down or failure of you're finding it hard. I'm sure most people on here have experienced the same and felt it too!
We're a here for you!
