Look back at the size of litters produced by the male you bred this baby to, and that will give you a better uderstanding if this is falling within his average litter size or if there is cause for concern. Of course, EVERY litter is different....I would go ahead and get xrays and see what is cooking in there....that will give you an idea how many and how big....you may be able to measure head/shoulder/pelvic ring ratios just to make sure you are not looking at a c-section delivery. I normally do not get xrays until day 58, but if there are any questions or concerns, I get them as soon as I can.....or ultra sound....but there are a lot of vets that are not good reading ultra sounds... You are absolutely certain you counted from the first tie?
