Hanna and Everyone Else - You need to do a lot of research on Breeders. I wouldn't want anyone to contact me for a Yorkie without knowing all they could about my dogs, my Titles, Championships etc.
Anyone is welcome to come and see my dogs - If I don't have one of the parents on site I would definitely have a picture of the missing parent, plus the pedigree of the puppy in question. Sometimes I use my Champion Male for Stud and I get pick of the litter (therefore the female wouldn't be here).
I will not ship my puppies to anyone looking for a Yorkshire Terrier unless I know them (met with them previously at a show etc.) or they are recommended by a very close friend of mine.
I don't just sell my puppies - I am looking for a loving home - quality parents for my puppies. Someone (or family) that will devote the time and effort to raise the puppy the best possible.
Anyway, enough said, just RESEARCH your BREEDER.
For a list of Yorkie Breeders you can also go to
www.YTCA.org.
There you will find the current members list I believe broken down by state. Also, there is a list of Yorkshire Terrier Clubs listed by state.
