Isn't Battery Park just right on the water? It looks to me as if they built all those apartments and parks, promenades just right down there a bit above it on the landfill!!! Guess they didn't think they would
ever get a storm pushing some water in - or didn't care! Wonder why contractors build and inspectors okay constructing living quarters where it can be so dangerous in a big storm?
