Did she buy him from someone that shows? If so, they should be willing to mentor you so far as getting ready for show. I also recommend going to dog shows and watch....not just yorkies, but other toy breeds and group as well. Watch the professional handlers and how they handle the dogs in the ring. Meet the Yorkie exhibitors and start networking...if they know you are serious, some will be willing to give you advice on showing.
