Regular adjustable collar hardware, plastic with a metal D ring. This one that is just ribbon fused together and is very lightweight. If I made one to use for walks, etc. I would use lightweight sewn webbing for reinforcement. I am afraid of collars in the house for fear they will get hung up on something.
The only time my guys wear collars is when they go to the vet or out on the porch to sit (even though it is enclosed, you never can tell). Zachary wears a harness when going for a ride that the car seat snap thingie is attached to. The collar he wears with it is just to hold his tags.
