Using water bottles will not deprive them of getting enough water. They will drink til they're not thirsty anymore.

As a puppy Princess trued to chew the metal spout on hers...it too a littkle effort...to be fair though she was and atill is the worse chewer I've ever heard of!
Vet actually diagnosed her with a form of pica abd she gets a vitamin suppliment for it she eats random objects.
