I have also heard no grooming (or taking out in public) until they are fully vaccinated. When Sophie Kate was a baby she was is such need of a grooming but I had to wait until she was ready for her public debut so I got some small scissors and did the trims myself (with some coaching from the people here on YT).
Hopefully you will reconsider taking Lea in public if she is not ready (or, hopefully I am not correct with my advice and someone with more experience will advise you).
