I no longer have an indoor pottier but my last male was and I never thought of having something for him to lift is leg up on, he was neutured right at 6 months and I don't think I ever saw him lift his leg, I used to keep two step in medium size litter boxes side by side in my laundry roomand started off with newspaper and he always preferred that to the pee pads, so I used to get old newspapers from all my neigbors and I kept a covered trash bin in the closet in the same room. The problem with males is they dribble and so even though he would pee in the box he would drip as he go out, so I bought a rubbermade type rolled up closet liner that I put under the box and about a foot outside it, this helped save my wood floor from constant wipping up. My advice is to have something like that under and extending out from the edge of whatever you go with. The boxes I used now seem to be discontinued. One of the nice side effects of him going inside and squating was on walks he never had the urge to stop and mark every few min. in fact he could sense when it was time to go for a walk and he would run to his littler box to go right before we left the house, LOL just like I would, it was nice not having to always walk around with a poop bag. Good luck and Welcome to YT you little guys is adorabable
