Lightbulb Floating Rib Cage

Have you guys ever felt a little bump under your dogs rib cage? It is like an inch to 1/2 inch (depends on how small/big your dog is) under where the rib cage meets.. (Its a very hard bump, doesn't really move around, feels like a bone)

I felt this on Peanut and freaked out! I know I have felt it before and they Vet said it was normal... well I wasn't sure so I took him to the Vet to have him double check, he needs his nails and anals done anyway!!

Well after goggling it, it appears that it's called a floating rib. I guess the last rib isn't connected-

You can see it on this diagram. Scroll down to the Rib drawing.

When I goggled it I saw a lot of people asking about it, I don't think a lot of people know about this, so I thought I would post it so people don't freak out like I did, now 2 times!!
