Tibbe hardly grows any inside but every 18 mos. or so, I have the vet's office "do" his ear hair. But once in a while I do it some and I learned to just reach in, grasp the ear hairs a few at a time at the base & pull. They come right out & it doesn't hurt the dog. Some people use the special powder to help make the ear hair easier to hold onto.
